In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I just wanted to say “thanks” for your great work with Why We Cook. I’ve only come across it recently, but it’s become a favorite and I’ve had a lot of fun catching up on past episodes as well.

Love your podcast “Why we cook.” I listen to it in my garden and on my daily runs. I too keep bees. This is my second year. My last hive was lost to a severe winter in Nebraska…. This year my Carnolian Bees arein my Garden in Lincoln Neb. I love having them so close. In the morning, a cup of coffe and my 10 year dog Waldo, savor the bees as they and I wake up. In the afternoon, I watch them guard the hive. I also enjoy when they challenge Waldo as she sits sedately panting nearby on the patio. Ahh Joy!
A honey episode (if not yet done as I have not yet listened to all of your podcast as I am a new convert) would be fantastic. There is alot of history with honey.
Thanks again for your unique podcast.
Sincerely,
Karen Endacott
Thanks so much for listening! Sorry to hear about your lost hive, this is my first year, so I’m really hoping they make it through this winter. I will definately do at least one show on honey, just waiting until honey season is here. Stay tuned! Keep me posted how your hives do this summer, I’ll be giving occasional bee reports, too.
